Sharmin also enjoys teaching children how yoga can increase their confidence, body awareness, concentration, and focus, and how to relax and keep calm during stress and challenges. In November 2013 Sharmin was certified in Y4C (Yoga for Cancer) the methodology taught excusively by Tari Prinster who is a renowned and revered for her work as a yoga teacher for those surviving or living with cancer. Her training explored the science of cancer as it relates to the science of yoga and how to offer support and healing through caring and compassionate competency. Sharmin is so happy to pair her RN with this certification and offer FREE yoga classes to cancer survivors and those living with cancer and their families as cancer effects the whole family. Yoga has become a lifestyle for Sharmin, and she enjoys sharing this gift and witnessing how yoga can transform each student, inside and out.
She provides a safe, comfortable environment in which transformation is possible for everyone. In October 2014 Sharmin founded , studios. A space that she has continued to evolve as a center for mental, spiritual, personal and physical development. She offers workshops for self development and happiness/wellness coaching. Her workshops are changing lives for all ages. The workshop is for women to come together as a tribe in a group that is loving and supporting for true mental and spiritual growth. She also offers workshops for young girls and teens called where she works on self esteem, self love, body image and empowerment training as well as providing a safe environment to talk and work through emotions. Sharmin offers a similar group for young boys called .
Sharmin is widely effective as a motivational speaker working with schools, corporations, churches and small groups. Sharmin is also an author and she is currently working on her first book expected in the spring of 2016 about the importance of going , to find yourself again.
